Fully sculptured, with traces of the original polychromy. A statue of a Madonna standing on a small oval plinth. The robe and cloak delineated with severe, vertical folds in the drapery. The gaze directed to the front in serene contemplation. A cloth shown extending in a wide arc around the head, surmounted by a narrow circlet. The robe with a softly rounded neck opening. Here with an old restoration. Given its age, in good, partly restored condition. Knocked in places. The polychromy rubbed. A visible restoration in the area of the neck.

Épreuve en bronze doré ; le buste, les bras, les mains, la tête, les jambes et les pieds en ivoire finement sculpté. Fonte d’édition ancienne vers 1920/30. Base en onyx. Une fente au ventre, altérations et usures éparses à la dorure. Signée TH. SOMME à l’arrière sur le bronze. H. base comprise : 18,2 cm
