1. Les pénitents. 6 etchings and engravings, ca. 6,2 x 4,1 cm, laid paper, signature and address in lower margin: "Callot fe. Israel ex. / Cum privileg. / Regis", title in lower margin (1 sm. tear strengthened).
Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout. Good impressions with wide margins. Complete set, including the title plate by Abraham Bosse (without n. in Lieure), of a series on penitent saints. 2nd state (of 2)
with text, except title plate only state. Ref. Lieure 1315-1319. Prov. Albert Van Loock (1917-2011), Belgian art dealer (stamp, L. 3751).
- 2. Les exercices militaires. 13 etchings, ca. 6,2 x 8,1 cm, laid paper, on title plate: "EXCERCICES MILITAIRES / fait par Noble I. CALLOT / Mis en lumiere Par ISRAEL son amy. / [...] / Cum Privilegie Reg Israel excu. 1635", address at bottom (some edges trimmed to platemark, light stains, few sl. browned, few corners or edges repaired, 1 hole).
Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout. In a mod. custom-made folder with half leather spine, gold-stamped "CALLOT", slipcase. Complete set of a series on military excercices. All 1st state (of 2)
before numbering, except title plate 2nd state (of 2)
